Nabila Irshaid (Salzburg/Ramallah)
Lecture and Video Presentation

Wednesday, Februar 13, 2013 7:30 pm

With her lecture, the German-Palestinian artist and cultural campaigner Nabila Irshaid grants insight into the cultural business of the Palestinian town Ramallah. How is art being produced here, how do cultural workers manage their every day life, and how does this impact the process of art production?

Nabila Irshaid temporarily studied in Hamburg and is now working as an artist in numerous international projects. For some years Nabila Irshaid has been managing the Summer Academy of Ramallah with the aim of establishing Ramallah as a cultural platform.

The future Ramallah from Nabila Irshaid’s point of view is a place open to contemporary art and culture production in order to present it to a broad public.

Kindly supported by the Kulturbehörde Hamburg.
